KIKI

One early morning on our way to our walkies we saw something small and white flash by the lion's habitat. We went to have a look and it was a very tiny feral kitten. No idea where the mother was or any siblings and no idea how she came to the sanctuary grounds.
We were able to capture her and put her safely inside where we could look after her.
We named her Kiki as she was feisty and independent and did things her own way.
Kiki grew to be my little girl and I always told her, we will be good friends one day.
And we ended up being that after hundreds of hours of sitting around and simply "being" together. It paid off big time.
Kiki learnt to understand love and affection. I was able to give her belly rubs and head scratches and she learnt to love them and give love back. I got her a baby pink small round plush sleeping bed and she claimed it as hers and slept right next to my pillow every night.
Kiki is the brave kitty that started all the cats on our sunrise and sunset walkies. She was the first and instigated all the other cats to come for walkies making them feel safe and have fun walking around the property with the doggies.

Kiki was tragically killed in October 2023. Big Paw Sanctuary will never be the same without this gorgeous beam of light and energy. She is truly missed so very much. Every day.

KIKI was fearless, a leader, cheeky and simply a beautiful, happy, full of life soul.

We miss you KIKI.
Forever in mama's heart. I LOVE YOU XXX
