Snezana
Durich, a former entertainment professional, made a significant transition in
her life when she became aware of the suffering of animals in captivity. With a
deep sadness and a renewed determination, she passionately advocates for
animal welfare, particularly for lions and tigers in captivity. With unwavering
dedication, she helps and rescues these majestic creatures and works tirelessly
to shed light on the tragic circumstances they endure. Snezana's mission is to
raise awareness about the plight of animals in captivity, inspiring others to
join her cause and create a better future for these magnificent beings.
Motivated
by her love for these animals, she founded the Big Paw Foundation, a 501(c)3 Non-profit organization that rescues, rehabilitates and relocates abandoned,
abused, neglected and rejected exotics.
Not
stopping there, she went in to create Big Paw Sanctuary, a safe haven where
animals in need can find solace and love. Big Paw Sanctuary has expanded its
mission to provide a safe haven not only for lions and tigers but for the
little paws too.
In
addition to their physical needs, Snezana also believes in the importance of
holistic well-being for both humans and animals. She embraces the concept of
living in harmony with holistic frequencies, striving to maintain a balanced and
positive environment for the animals under her care. The sanctuary focuses on creating a holistic nurturing environment where the rescued animals can thrive.
Snezana's
work at the Big Paw Foundation and Sanctuary not only provides a safe space for
lions and tigers but also raises awareness about the challenges these animals
face in captivity. Through her dedication and advocacy, she offers hope and a
second chance for these magnificent creatures, promoting a future where humans
and wildlife coexist harmoniously.
Today
Snezana finds pure bliss in her new life, dedicated to making a positive impact
on the lives of animals in her care.
Logan discovered his love for exotic cats at a premiere
rescue sanctuary in Florida in 1998. He’s since followed his calling consulting
for a prominent family in the United Arab Emirates. The extraordinary family
provides an inimitable haven for over 35 exotic cats, including the endangered
Bengal tiger, white tigers, lions and a cheetah. Logan is a constant
mentor to his partner and her dream to start Big Paw Foundation.
Zara is a highly passionate & driven animal advocate with 10 years experience in the animal welfare field primarily, but not exclusively, to the Middle East and North Africa.
Zara’s animal welfare experience range from hands on work in disaster relief as well as long term planning for policy and legislative changes, she has represented the MENA region internationally in various conferences including the United Nations & raised awareness to local and international issues.
Zara has been vegan for 6 years and launched her own vegan meal plan The Vegains Co. in order to help people live kinder through a more plant based lifestyle.
Zara works from passion and is strongly driven to make a difference, for humans, animals and the environment. Zara’s purpose In life is to live as kindly and compassionate as she can and encourage others to do the same.
